I can't believe there are no comments here; readers AWAKEN...get out of your drug-like state long enough to master this lingo and use it to communicate to others the nuances of listening and the rationale for high-end gear else the Philistines and troglodytes who view us as insane will triumph in yet another area of undervaluing higher forms of art, literature, human capabilities (in this case to HEAR music in a world where iPod and MP3 do NOT ruleand are NOT the only option.)

The art of discrimination requires a sensitivity to detail and a common language for conveyance, and, sadly, this blog is about the only place to date I've found a focused effort on doing just that.

And, by the way, attend live music now and then and support performers; else the standards of live performance will be lost.
