Snow and Power Outages and…

… and now there is hardly any snow left on the trees anymore. That is Boulder for you. We figure we got 26- 28 inches, which is easily in the top 10 snows we have had over the last 15+ years.

Took these photos yesterday morning. Right before the power went out again.

This is a large tree that got turned into a snowball with all the snow.

The main listening room on a cold snowy day. Can you tell the Gaku-Ons are not turned on? No power, no tube glow, no heat, no music…

The small listening room on a cold snowy power-free day. Yes, there are now light-colored Audio Note SPe speakers here.

Don’t you think an emergency generator is warranted to keep those tubes glowing and warm?

  2. Mike Says:

Ha! That’s what Neli keeps saying. Have to find one whose motor does not increase the noise floor by very much.

Funny thing is, when the power is out, with all that snow acting as a blanket on the world, it is so very, very quiet - a perfect time to play music. Doh!

    Take care, Rick,
    Mike

Mike I quite like the look of those light colored AN-E’s an chance of seeing some more pics in better lighting? If the power is on that is?

    Hi Brenden,

Yes :-) the power did come back on [and stay on!].

Good idea. I just posted some photos. Let me know if you need a different angle or have any questions.

    Take care,
    Mike
