 KHARMA
Kharma is a Dutch company. The company was founded by Charles van Oosterum. Their speakers are known for their musicality, micro-dynamics, and beauty.

 Sound
Kharma is focused on delivering a realistic, but very musical and magical experience through their product line.

 Technology

The old Kharma philosophy "Reality as a Reference" requires no-compromise products, including only no-compromise components. This means that when silver-gold wires sound best; we use them. Also it means that if they sound even better after a time-temperature controlled process whereby the structure of the material is altered, we will use this process. It means that if we cannot find binding-posts that don't live up to our standards, we will develop them ourselves.

When a diamond cone for a tweeter has got the best specs of all materials on earth and really nothing sounds better: we use them. The so called underhung system turned out to be a way of creating a way higher efficiency. And so we combined this with these diamond cones.
High Pressure Laminate because of the weight and other properties is best fit for creating a loudspeaker cabinet we don't mind using it, especially not in combination with several types of massive woods.

But; all this not for it's own sake, but only to serve the purpose of re-creating reality, right in your own home.

 Portfolio
Kharma has a portfolio of loudspeakers with a number of different pedigrees - from Ceramique awesome Exquisite series. They also make state-of-the-art cables and amplifiers.

MP 150

Amplifier

DESCRIPTION

"The Matrix MP150 amplifier is a proprietary switching amplifier It uses a unique pulse control scheme that takes feedback only from the speaker terminals. No feedback loop from the switching output is used. The result is extremely low output impedance over the entire bandwidth. Damping factor is >400 up to 2kHz and >100 at 20kHz. The frequency response is DC-50kHz (+0,-3dB) and is completely independent of the load impedance. THD and IMD are very low (<0.02%) and completely independent of frequency, like a good zero-feedback amplifier.

The amplifier operates without an oscillator which removes all problems associated with oscillator jitter. This translates into very good SNR > 110dB. Construction is entirely using discrete transistors and FETs. Input impedance: 220K!"

Cables

DESCRIPTION

"The upper high-end line of Kharma's cable-line offers the very best a man might request. The wiring is made of a super quality alloy of pure silver/gold. The whole product is being cryogenically treated in a chamber cooled down to -313 Fahrenheit in a time/temperature controlled process. The net result is an increase in resolution and a lowering of the noisefloor to an incredible level.

A massive screening protects the cable from high frequency interferences and a massive electromechanical damping kills the microphonic feedback also lowering the noisefloor. The connectors made out of pure silver/gold. The Kharma Enigma Loudspeaker cables are the perfect fit to the new Kharma Connectors.

The Enigma cables-line exists of a Loudspeaker Cable, a Bi-Wire Loudspeaker Cable, an Analog Interconnect, a Digital Interconnect, a Phono Cable, a Power Cable and a new FireWire cable."
