Because I didn't get to make it to the main conference yesterday, today we start with photos from there. Outside the front (West side) of the central hall we have exhibit tents for Microsoft and down aways, out of site, is Yahoo, which was having a party when I left after the conference had shutdown for the day, spying it as we passed by on the bus back from the convention center (LVCC) to the Venetian.

High-adrenalin games in the Intel booth.

The XBOX section of the Microsoft booth.

LG announced a combination HD-DVD and Blu-ray disc player. Their exhibit was quite large. Exhibits here are on average about 3 times larger than CEDIA.

Lots of people gathered to see the shows. This one featured a singer / dancer who had dancers dancing along in the array of flat panels.

Even out in the hallway where the food and water lived there was glitz and flash.

Audiovox was there in a big way. Reports were that Samsung was prohibiting photos, soooo you won't see them here.

Pioneer had a audio /video techno performance going on. Sound quality was not so great, but the performance was quite fun. The video also was controlled by the performer, as well as the audio.

Cuervo anyone? Luckily they do not tempt exhibitors, and attendees, with alcohol at some other conventions we have attended...

Photo did not come out so well, but the picture was quite nice.

Panasonic was there.

Blu-ray booth - sound quality was loud and poor.

Did not get the full specs in focus of the big brothers of the BDP-S1 - sorry.

Sony exhibit was one of the more innovative booths - which is saying something because everyone was doing something cool...

Living picture frames....

Many displays would gather a flock of camera totin' attendees - clustering around and feeding at the troth of cool-new-stuff.

OK, this is officially funny.

Uh....

Guess what conference was also going on the Sands / Expo?  There were wicked dressed women wandering through crowds in the Venetian proper for the whole show...
